8/1 - “Nobody Beats the Wiz, well until they went out of business”

By The Stabbing Pen | August 1, 2008

“The Wiz” was a chain electronics store in a northeast that eventually changed it’s name to it’s slogan, “Nobody Beats the Wiz.”  Using your slogan as part of the actual name of a business is to me one of the most obnoxious concepts of all time.  Nobody ever said in conversation, I’m going over to “Nobody Beats the Wiz.”  It was always just the “Wiz.”

I often have a soft spot in my heart for many east coast businesses that are now defunct, but “The Wiz” can suck my balls, and I’m glad they’re gone.  THEY AIN’T NO CRAZY EDDIE.

Besides their god-awful service, Best Buy blows those places out of the water anyway.
