I was having lunch yesterday with some people at one of those restaurants over near the Sunset Strip. Since you’re basically eating your meal outdoors on the sidewalk, all sorts of foot traffic comes and goes right by you as you eat.
At some point during the meal, a couple of kids came by our table, and tried to sell us candy. I wish I remembered this one kid’s exact quote, but it was something along the lines of, “Would you like to buy a candy bar to help the inner-city youth, and to help keep me out of gangs?”
WHAT THE FUCK? Apparently, this kid is smart enough to understand the negative effects of gangs, but dumb enough to still consider joining one.
Buy this Snickers bar, or I will go rob a liquor store.
Buy this Hershey bar, or I will a steal car.
If you don’t purchase this Kit-Kat, I’m pretty sure someone’s gonna get raped.
