8/4 - “9-1-1 doesn’t care about Shia LeBeouf”
By The Stabbing Pen | August 4, 2008
I recently had a Sunday 9:30AM baseball game, and I found myself out later than I probably should have been the night before. Before making an illegal u-turn (I guess I won’t make them anywhere I feel anymore), and getting ticketed for it, I was already exhausted, pissed off, and just wanted to go to sleep. It was after 2AM.
After that saga, I was almost home. That’s when Shia LaBeouf had his (most recent) car accident — 2 cars ahead of me, and blocks from my apartment. As one of the car made a turn on red, I saw the camera light brightly flash for a moment, then heard the loud crash as the two vehicles collided (out of my view).
I parked my car in the turning lane, put on my hazards, and got out. I started dialing 9-1-1 continuously on my cell phone, only to receive a busy signal each time. A busy signal? It’s 9-1-1. An EMERGENCY LINE. It’s not supposed to be busy! A few people gathered around soon there after, and everyone was on their cell phone presumably dialing 9-1-1. Somebody eventually got through luckily.
At this point, I was looking through my car to see if I had a towel handy for the girl with the bloody face who was wandering around nearby the crash scene. It’s didn’t even register to me that there was a famous actor involved, and I was exhausted and wanted to go home. Once the authorities and emergency crews arrived, I figured I wasn’t needed anymore — which was fine, because I didn’t really do anything anyway.

I have had tried to call 911 a couple times in the past with the same luck - busy…
Also, what exactly does this have to do with the 9:30am game?
