According to Wikipedia, Ray Charles was married twice and fathered 12 children by 7 different women. Not a bad run at all. Some people might find those numbers staggering and perhaps even offensive — and irresponsible of Charles.
Not me. For one thing, promiscuity is almost as much part of the music business as the music itself. The other thing is, maybe Ray Charles simply didn’t know who he was with at the time these babies were being made. The man was blind thus probably duped by (some of) these broads!
