11/9 - “Power of the buddy icon”
By The Stabbing Pen | November 9, 2008
For the most part I would never trust a politician. None. Never. Maybe this isn’t an entirely healthy attitude. Perhaps I should take into consideration that I don’t recall ever having met a politician, let alone having known one well.
Although yes, I did vote for Barack Obama, I never attended a rally, wore a t-shirt, or even once had one of those stylish Obama buddy icons. However, I talked openly how I had no plans to vote for John McCain.
Now that Barack Obama is going to be President, as long as he isn’t entirely some kinda pussy, I think there’s a chance our country could be headed in a direction that makes at least something that resembles sense to me. For this, I feel slight relief.
I’ll admit, there’s a chance I owe my newfound and somewhat strangely positive expectations for our country —- to the annoying LA cliche hyper-liberal political zealots…and their bumper stickers.
