While out to dinner for Lance’s 30th birthday at Katana on Saturday night, I was chewing on some ribs when I spotted the actor Ryan Phillipe a couple of tables over. Since photographs were already being snapped throughout the evening at our table, at some point we were going to ask a stranger (waiter/busboy) to take a shot of all of us.
Then I thought to myself, we oughta ask Ryan Phillipe to take the photo of all of us. I have nothing against him personally, but on some level messing with celebrities is funny to me. Envision this — I go up to Ryan while holding a camera in my hands, “Mr. Phillipe, would you mind?” Since I would have addressed him by name while holding a camera, he would be under the impression I wanted a picture WITH him.
Then I’d flip that shit, and just ask him to take a photograph of our group of friends, leaving the actor rather bewildered, purely for my enjoyment and amusement.

That would be awesome. Having a picture that you could point to and say, “Oh, (enter celebrity name here) took this one of us” would be ten times more interesting than a picture of said celebrity.
