In the world we live in, it might be helpful for some people to 100% believe in god to help get them by in their lives.  Faith is one thing though, but actually proving the existence of a god at this point in our journey as humans is rather tough —- pretty much impossible.  While the agnostic in me allows god to be a possibility, it’s very hard to get away from the idea that well, god is just an idea.

Another often debated topic on this planet is the idea of love.  I don’t intend to go on a hippie-ish rant about the topic, but when broken down simply I wish more humans would choose love over god.  The thing is, if god exists, he’d probably want us to believe love is the most important thing in the universe anyway.

I’m not even referring to a specific kind of love — doesn’t matter if it’s romantic, familial, etc.  — whatever generates emotions and passion within us.

All I’m saying is that when stacking up 2 abstract concepts like love and god up against each other, there’s much more concrete evidence for the existence of love in our universe — so whenever in doubt that’s what I’m gonna choose.  Besides, if god existed which he doesn’t but if he did, he’d approve of my thought-process here.

In fact, next time I’m in Vegas I will put down money that should we ever be able communicate with god and ask him questions, that he’d proclaim love as the utmost important concept for us humans to value.
