Bengals wide reciever Chad Ochocinco, formerly Chad Johnson wears #85 on his uniform. We all know that “ochocinco” is 8-5 and not 85, but let’s forget that for a second….
With his name now legally Ochocinco, what happens if Chad gets traded to another team —- and the number 85 isn’t available. Perhaps it’s retired, or another player refuses to give it up.
As stupid as it is that #85 is named 8-5, I can’t imagine how dumb it would be if 8-5 wore #84.

30|Sep|2009 1I’d like the record to reflect that he should have named himself ochenta y cinco, which is actually 85. But like you said, he probably wanted a strong 8-5, hence the ochocinco. He’s a goofball. I hope what you say happens - he gets traded and is 84.
