When I’m introduced to some guy, it’s commonplace place for us to share a handshake.  Later on might come the fist bumps, half-hugs, and the blowing it up, but at first it’s the standard and traditional handshake.

What the appropriate practice with women though?  I guess it’s a handshake too, but something just seems a little strange about this.   If I’m meeting a girl in a business setting, then sure, handshake is ok.  But if I’m meeting a girl in a social setting, a handshake just seems kinda cold and formal.

I mean, you could go for the handshake, and then put the other hand on top for a sec — but this seems a little too intimate for just meeting someone.   A hug is obviously just not the right option here, either.

For now, it’s the handshake I guess….
