With Halloween coming up this weekend, I have some thoughts about costumes. I encourage everybody to dress up for Halloween, particularly adults. I mean, if you’re an outgoing person who takes a lot of fashion risks, it’s not as crucial for you to dress up.
I’m more referring to those like myself — 9 to 5 schlubs who take minimal fashion risks — those who tend to stay within their comfort zone, and don’t think that dressing up “is fun.”
I think it’s especially important for people like us to dress like someone else, and even just be somebody else…at least for one day out of the year.
While stepping outside yourself, albeit temporarily, you might even learn more about your actual self in the process.
Whatever. Just put on a costume and get drunk and have a good time. It’s Halloween.

28|Oct|2009 1I decided on the “Michael Jackson” costume this year. It came complete with a wig, a surgical mask, a glitter glove, sunglasses and a hat. LOL. Too sweet!!!
