You know the key I’m referring to on your keyboard. On my keyboard the insert key is located above my delete key and to the right of the backspace key.
What is the point of the insert key? I’ve never once found a use for it, and all it does is cause damage.
I’ll be typing along….I’m typing, I’m typing. Then I want to go back and add some words in the middle of something I just wrote, but I’ll find that as I’m typing, what I already wrote is being deleted.
F u, insert key.

16|Nov|2009 1I was leaving a comment and then went back to add a sentence in the beginning and the insert key was on so my entire comment was typed over!

20|Nov|2009 2Haha! I hate the insert key too. Great rant. And one, well deserved by the keyboard.

20|Nov|2009 3I still do some C-programming and hitting the insert key to replace rather than add text comes in handy.
I rarely hit the insert key by mistake. The only key that gives me a problem is that I’ll accidentally hit the caps-lock now and again.
