If you actually follow this blog, I’ve been out of town and away from a computer for the last few days….
But to me, being a VIP (V-I-P/V.I.P.) seems way cooler than being referred to as a very important person. Often abbreviations are way hipper, in addition to being more time efficient than their written out words.
“Ooh, look at Bob Jones. He’s a very important person.” This makes Bob sound pretentious, and you just sound dumb.
It’s all relative, because to some degree we can all view ourselves and others as very important people, but being VIP’s, and being abbreviated is what makes us cooler, hipper, and more important.
