I can’t imagine it would be sheep.   After spending all day long dealing with these sheep, the last thing they’d want to do is think about more sheep.

Perhaps sheep herders don’t really have much trouble sleeping.  I assume they’re working long days (you know, herding the sheep), and can often fall asleep shortly after the head hitting the pillow.
