It’s really quite simple.  If you’re indoors and there’s a torrential downpour outside — unless it’s super-urgent, no way you ever go out there.

Things are quite different if you’re already outside, and suddenly a clear day turns into a thunderstorm.

Suddenly it’s fun and exciting, possibly even romantic….

…whereas nobody has ever turned to the person next to them on the couch — and suggested that going outside in the pouring rain for no reason is a genius idea.
