Ya gotta love this line. It’s use is fairly common in both movies, and on television. It’s usually is yelled out by a son, when a stepdad is imposing his will on him.
“You’re not my father!!! You can’t tell me what to do.”
It’s the ultimate biting line, because the stepdad can never really come up [...]
Some of my favorite films of all time are ones that sprawl across two or more genres. For example, take Beverly Hills Cop, Eddie Murphy’s blockbuster smash that first hit theaters back in 1984. I’m not the biggest action film fan around, but once you add in Eddie’s biting humor, I’m game.
After [...]
The classic song, “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Rolling Stones is as far as I know open to interpretation when it comes to a specific meaning. I’ll let you do your own research.
However, off the top of my head I can pinpoint two moments in rock n’ roll history in which this song helped [...]

Not to get too technical here, but on TV/Film production shoots, everytime there is a location change, “room tone,” must be recorded. The person in charge of recording audio will ask all others on set to keep silent for a few seconds while he records the “sound of the room.”
It was during this kind of [...]
I’m not one of these people that watches 5 films everyday, or could be considered “movie buff.” In fact, there’s a lot of great films I’ve never even seen. Even so, and just like everyone else, I think I can easily pick out a stinker based on it’s trailer, or even it’s TV commercials.
Take this [...]

With Slumdog Millionaire coming out this week on DVD, I have some follow-up thoughts about the film. I found Slumdog entertaining, despite it’s outlandish plot. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I just remember how in the story Jamal’s brother wouldn’t let the little girl hide away with them when they were [...]
There’s Date Movie, Scary Movie, and coming soon Disaster Movie. There’s others that I’m probably not even remembering at the moment.
What about a movie that’s a parody of all the parody movies?

With prices for movie tickets ridiculously high these days, after seeing something in the theater, your friend will often ask you, “How was the movie? Did you get your money’s worth?”
I asked Mike D. (‘Cuse Mike D. not baseball Mike D. or Beastie Boys Mike D.) if he had plans to see that “Role Models” [...]
I remember several years ago having a conversation with someone about one of my favorite films of all time, Back to the Future. In the film, in order to travel through time, this Delorean must travel 88 MPH.
88 MPH? Honestly, it’s not really that fast. I mean, it’s fast enough to get ticketed, but [...]
Another story from the film set —- In this particular scene I was at a wedding, and sitting at a table with 3 or 4 other people. In the midst of an intense debate between Wendy’s and In & Out Burger, I confessed my affection for 13 year old red-headed girls. I was referring to the [...]
